Soundtrack
Here are some songs to listen to while you study this chapter for the AP Exam:

1) Working Class Hero - John Lennon
--This song is about how too many people are told to be content with staying in the normal curve's 68% deviance rather than trying to become exceptional.

2) Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd
--This song says that better for some people are successful if they are "life smart."

3) The Boxer - Simon & Garfunkel
--This song is all about a person who is "street smart."

4) Your English is Good - Tokyo Police Club
--This song is about the false ideas of achievement and overconfidence that comes with tracking.

5) Oxford Comma - Vampire Weekend

6) Back Against the Wall - Cage the Elephant
--This song shows the sense of helplessness created by giving "gifted" kids opportunities and denying them to others.

7) She's A Genius - Jet
--This song shows a different type of "smart" than what people usually think of as smart.

8) Aptitude - Novillero
--This song basically says that achievement predicts aptitude.

9) Black and White - Three Dog Night
--This song stresses the fact that racial gaps in intelligence are not inborn; we are all the same.

10) Little Cream Soda - The White Stripes
--This song is about how people get smarter as they grow older but after intelligence starts to stabilize around age 7, the rest of the academic information learned only causes a loss of innocence.
